Max Husten is an artist born and raised in New York City and currently residing in Philadelphia. After attending LaGuardia High School for Music and Art and Performing Arts as a Visual Arts Major, he received a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design. Working out of his home studio, Max’s work takes on a variety of forms, ranging from formalist abstractions, plein-air landscapes, and cartoonish cats, while pulling visual fodder from his surroundings and from art history to invoke themes such as sensuality and queerness.
